Nole Command IMS
In order to support the FSU Emergency Management Team and other incident command system, the university has developed an electronic incident management system (IMS) to support emergency and event operations. We call this system Nole Command IMS.
Nole Command IMS is actually a combination of two powerful information management platforms, whose strengths, when combined, provide the university with a highly effective and efficient system for managing emergencies and events:
- Nole Command SP powered by Microsoft SharePoint
- Nole Command ISS powered by ISS 24/7
Nole Command SP
FSU Emergency Management started using Microsoft SharePoint as it's information sharing platform in 2011. The system allows for extensive group collaboration through shared documents, files, calendars, team rosters, training logs and more. Since many FSU employees use SharePoint within their daily business routines, it was only logical to choose a platform which many were accustomed to.
Nole Command SP is organized into several sections, commensurate with the phases of emergency management:
Nole Command SP also has specialized workspaces for certain significant events or incidents, such as the FSU Health Issues Task Force.
Nole Command ISS
FSU Athletics started using ISS 24/7 in the Fall of 2014 for all home football games. The system consists of users from:
