Who can attend NCSAM events? Everyone! All members of the FSU community are welcome to attend events or trainings, such as Students, Staff, or Faculty. 

Do I have to pay to attend? No! All NCSAM events & trainings are FREE! 

Do I have to be a CERV Member? Nope, but anyone is welcome to join CERV! If you are interested in volunteering to help FSU prepared for emergencies or to support our community before & after disasters, scroll to the bottom of this page to learn more or go to www.emergency.fsu.edu/CERV.

Scavenger Hunt & Raffles 

Can you find safety resources on campus? Do you know what to do in an emergency? Complete the NCSAM Safety Scavenger Hunt & submit it by Thursday, September 26th for a chance to win preparedness giveaway prizes! 

Be the first to submit your copy of the Campus Safety Scavenger Hunt sheet after:

  • Attending 4 NCSAM Events or trainings (Initialed by facilitator & sign-in at training, complete post event/ training survey) 
  • Finding & post a picture with at least 1 of each key safety item

Find & post a picture with at least 1 of each key safety item (listed below). Remember to tag: #SeminoleSAFE & #NCSAM2024 and @KeepFSUSafe 

Key Safety Items:

  • AED: Automated External Defibrillator
  • Emergency Evacuation signs (maps)
  • Stop the Bleed Kit
  • First Aid kit or Narcan kit
  • Fire extinguisher
  • Your Emergency Plan (completed)
  • Your Disaster Supply Kit
  • Campus Safety Office or with safety staff * 

* "campus safety office" or "campus safety staff member", if they consent to a photo, include any FSU departments, offices, or team with a primary goal of campus safety, health, support or response to emergencies (including: FSUPD, CASS, FSU Emergency management, FSU security, Health & wellness center, MRU, CERV, Environmental Health & Safety, EH&S Fire Shop, ect.)

  1. Join the Canvas Page
  2. Complete the Annual Contact form & submit a waiver
  3. Attend CERV trainings & Meetings (first meeting of Fall 2024 is on 9/12/2024 in SSB 214)
  4. Sign up for volunteer shift!
