PROFESSIONAL STAFF

Director — The Director of Emergency Management oversees Florida State University’s efforts to prepare for, prevent, respond to, recover from and mitigate against the effects of a wide variety of emergencies and disasters that could adversely affect the health, safety, and/or general welfare of its students, faculty, staff, visitors, and families.  The Director coordinates the University’s Emergency Management Team, maintains the Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan (CEMP), conducts situational awareness monitoring, training, exercises, campus disaster preparedness education and collaboration with our community partners. The Director manages the FSU Alert, emergency notification and warning system.

Preparedness Coordinator — The Emergency Management Coordinator assists the Director with various targeted projects, including but not limited to: research and planning, situational awareness monitoring and technological support. The Coordinator also assists with the FSU ALERT, emergency and notification system.
