JOIN - CERV an on campus emergency volunteer program.

CERV Trainings & Meetings: Campus Emergency Response Volunteers found under the "CERV Meetings" Module in the Canvas page. 

• All current FSU students, faculty, and staff are welcome to join CERV meetings, attend free trainings, and become an active volunteer. 
• You can join CERV meetings before completing the required training.
• Only those who have met the training requirements, submitted their notarized waiver, submitted their annual contact form and had their Volunteer Application accepted & CERV Kit assigned are eligible for emergency activations and gaining volunteer hours through ServScript. 

Updated Training Requirements starting Fall 2026: 

 FEMA CERT Basics in person 22hour training hosted over 3 days (two evenings - a Thursday & a Friday and one Saturday of final modules & exercises). This will replace CERV 101 & 102 trainings, volunteers who have completed both parts of previous training requirements have until Spring 2027 to complete CERT Basics to keep their active member status. 

Required Pre-Requisites for CERT Basics Training: 

• FSU SPEAR Training Seminole Prepared: Emergency and Response (SPEAR
• FEMA IS 315a FEMA - Emergency Management Institute (EMI) Course | IS-315.A: CERT and the Incident Command System (ICS) 
• Must Join the CERV Canvas page, registered for the course, submitted all required forms, and submitted a Notarized Waiver prior to the first day of CERT Basics
