EAG Program Roll Out
Phase 1: Virtual Emergency Action Guides
In August 2024 FSU Emergency Management launched the Emergency Action Guides, which provide protective actions for responding to specific hazards, available in the SeminoleSAFE app or at TakeAction.fsu.edu.
FSU Emergency Management took inspiration from partner SUS universities and developed a virtual resource the whole FSU community can use to respond to any hazard, on or off campus. The "EAGs" or Emergency Action Guides replace traditional safety booklets found in large capacity event spaces, these booklets were usually vague and not replaced often compared to virtual resources.
Go to TakeAction.fsu.edu or "How to Respond" in the SeminoleSAFE app.

Phase 2: EAG Posters
FSU’s Public Safety department has been developing advancements in emergency and safety education, for this next step we need your help sharing EAG Posters.
This second phase of the Emergency Action Guide project utilized existing networks across the university to implement EAG posters in high traffic or large capacity areas. Posters provide in-the-moment information and connect the FSU Community to additional information via a QR code directing them to TakeAction.fsu.edu. Departmental HR Representatives assisted the public safety team in distributing an initial round of 18x24 posts for the start of the 2025 fall semester.
The Emergency Action Guide posters are available to download & print today!
Select which size fits your office, classroom, or dorm: 8.5x11, 11x17, and 18x24. Use the fillable PDF function to add your location details (building name, room number, & address) before printing.
Where to place Emergency Action Guide Posters?
- All posters are created to serve FSU’s unique population and fit all classroom and office designs, pick which size best fits your space.
- Hang posters at or slightly above eye level, where phones can still scan the QR code.
- Place near other safety information, room signage, by doorways, or in designated information areas.
- Do not use this poster in public or student posting locations; to ensure that it will not be torn down or cover up by other temporary signage.
